And by "reading" I mean "viewing": Slings and Arrows
I'd heard this recommended over and over again the last view months, described as Waiting for Guffman meets Stratford. Somehow I was expecting something like 30 Rock set in the low-budget theater world; turns out it's more like a soap opera, but with more subtle Waiting for Guffmanery in there. Also it's set in Canada.
I've watched the first two seasons (Canadian, so only six episodes per season and only three seasons to the show - only eighteen episodes to get you all caught up). Anyone who's done theater - anyone who's spent time with anyone that does theater - watch it. Love it. Get slightly uncomfortable that it might hit a little bit too close to home.
