The Life It Goes

Here's what's doin':

- Light rehearsals for a small show (20 seats per performance) with Superwolf, short plays set in an office, performed on location in a secret office location in Midtown. So secret, audience members don't even get the address until their confirmation email after purchasing tickets. Just for a weekend, possibly one day the next weekend.

- Signed on for training-to-demo-production for voiceover with Edge Studios. Working towards a Commercial and Narration demo. An investment that will pay off, I hope, but bloody expensive in the meantime. Many classes in the evenings, 7pm-9pm. Only a problem with trying to figure out when I can take those classes, what with...

- Continued grunt job with Trader Joe's. Had wanted to quit before the next pay raise; may not get the chance until before the pay raise after that. Catch 22 - want to do voiceover for money instead of the grocery store; can't take the classes often enough and complete demos fast enough for my taste because I'm always working; can't stop working 'cause I need the money to pay for the classes (and, y'know, rent and food and stuff).

- Have a role in the upcoming show at the Flea, Future Anxiety. Really looking forward to this. Love the script, excited about the role...as usual, won't get paid for the process and must volunteer 6 hours a week of volunteer time during the duration of the rehearsals. See concern about time and money, classes and survival in above bullet point.

In conclusion: treading water, but definitely occupied with projects I am excited about. No time is occupied with something I don't believe in just to fill in my resume.
