We raided the fridge, we swam, (everyone else sunbathed and then got sick of the flies swarming all over them and went inside, but as I said I haven’t been near a pool in years and wanted to take advantage of it), we lounged about. I read/napped whilst Jesse and Matt had impromptu guitar/piano jams. It was a lovely day.

Into Eltham
Sounds like a chapter somewhere in Lord of the Rings, doesn’t it? But this is Australia, not New Zealand. Eltham’s a bushy burb north of Melbourne, where Jesse grew up. We took a day trip out last week to her parent’s house to go swimming. I had no idea that her parents live on something like five acres of GORGEOUS. It’s like they live in Tahoe, only a little more arid and with kangaroos that apparently come and go. (No, I still haven’t seen one yet. They were perhaps feeling shy that day.)
